Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that clean and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning both dry and wet messes in one session, without having to switch devices. They can also save space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living areas.
A good combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models with docks that let them automatically empty their bins, replenish their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the easiest robots to install that we've tested. Unpacking is simple, and the quick-start guide gets you up and running in no time. You'll have a the complete dust bag, water tank and a hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops spin at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a selection of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you pick the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For instance, you can decide to let the robot take care of a thorough clean-up in the living and kitchen areas but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models are unable to. Its only issue is that it is known to smash into walls and objects at full speed. However, a quick look at the history of cleaning in the app will reveal exactly what the robot has accomplished, where it's moving, and what obstacles it has encountered or avoided.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's flagship robot mop and vacuum, is the newest version. The model of this year features a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This enhances the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power that allows it to pick up smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners may miss.
As with the two other Roborock models I've tested, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to can help to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates two cameras that can recognize objects, and determine if they are walls or other surfaces. It is able to change its direction automatically and clean them without missing a step.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also the most packed with features. Its sleek, angular design is eye catching and only has three physical buttons. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning process mop button, which doubles up as a child-lock and a home button to send the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin fills up automatically.
The only negative I discovered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if it's required) however, it's a hassle to remove the mount itself for manual washing. I've observed that any soft carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of smart features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can configure and manage these using the Roborock app that is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you schedule cleanings and monitor battery life. However, you'll have to go through a few hoops to enable voice control on this model which is a pity considering how well it performs otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop equipped with incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its intelligent design allows for personalized and efficient cleaning, while saving you time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to offer 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful choices available. This powerful vacuum is able to clean up pet hair as well as crumbs and other dry mess. It also comes with a high-quality mop that leaves hard floors sparkling clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also very quiet in operation with only occasional bursts during modes changes or self-maintenance.
Another noteworthy feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brush which allows it to get into hard-to-reach corners and intimately clean curved furniture like table and chairs' legs. Contrary to other robots which only focus on one thing, the X40 can perform mopping and vacuuming simultaneously or in a series. It can also be programmed to skip areas with carpet and mop only hard floors, or reverse the process. It can be controlled via the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is intuitive and user-friendly and the X40's intelligent features are simple to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, look at floor plans and mapping, and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and notify you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to keep clean and has many convenient features which make it a good option for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, washes mop pads and refills them with clean water and a cleaning solution. It can also tell when the mop pad is filled and notify you before it gets overflowing, reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It has a number of features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature on its mop heads, makes use of two mop heads with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is much higher than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can clean pet hair and small dirt particles as well as picking up spills and wet spots.
The mop is cleaned and dried at the base station every time they are used. This is a fantastic feature as it stops the build-up of mould and unpleasant odours in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system more efficient. It's a system that we've yet to see on other robot vacuums and mop models and could be a great method of keeping your home cleaner for longer.
There's a plethora of settings on offer which include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and alter a variety of preferences. They can be set through the app or there are direct buttons on the unit itself. The app is simple to use and provides a variety of options for customizing the cleaning routine, and there are numerous functions that other robots don't include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles, rather than using an individual setting.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks elegant and elegant. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots listed on this list but it's not a lot of weight. It feels solid and well-constructed.
